FAP AQUAPROOF 100 is a single pack flexible, elastomeric waterproof coating based on weather resistant pigments, filler and styrene acrylicester resins. It has excellent bond strength and fills and bridges hairline cracks. The cured membrane provides excellent resistance to carbonation and prevents chloride ion ingress.

Surface Preparation

Ensure that surface are clean sound, stable and free of dirt, dust, grease and other contaminants. Remove any traces of algae and fungal growth with a wire brush, treat with fungicide solution and wash down with clean water.

Uses

• FAP AQUAPROOF 100 is suitable for application to most common building substrates including concrete, fiber cement, plasterboard and timber.
• Used as anti carbonation coating Vertical and parapet walls (concrete or blockwork)
• Used as protective coating for seawalls and coastal environments

Application

FAP AQUAPROOF 100 on to the surface by brush , roller or airless spray. Allow to dry and inspect for imperfections that should be made good prior to application of second coat.

Cleaning

All tools and equipments to be cleaned with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

Coverage

Consumption of FAP AQUAPROOF 100 depending on the substrate’stexture, porosity, ambient temperature, etc. Approximate coverage will be around 4 to 5 m2/liter @ 200 micron.

Storage

Stored in the original sealed packing, in dry conditions away from direct sunlight, this product will keep for at least one year.

Health & Safety

As with all chemical products, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggle should be worn. Should any of the products be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomit but call for medical assistance immediately. Ensure the container is available for the medical attendant to examine any relevant instructions and content details. Reseal all containers after use and ensure that the product is stored as instructed on the safety section of the labeling.
