FAP Nano-Grout ES is a solvent free epoxy resin grout designed to withstand high static and dynamic loads. The product is supplied in three components as Part A, Part B & Part C that is specifically formulated to produce a high performance, pourable grout with high strength and excellent chemical resistance properties. FAP Nano-Grout ES is mechanically tough grout making it ideal for resisting the dusting effects of dynamic loading.
Surface Preparation : Ensure the concrete foundation surface is dimensionally stable and free of dirt, dust, oil, laitance, paint, curing compounds etc. Bolt holes and fixing pockets should be free from any dirt or debris. If possible a roughened surface is preferable to smooth surfaces. Metal surfaces must be free from rust, loose scaling and paint. Shuttering should be covered with polyethylene to ensure a clean release.
Mixing : Do not commence mixing until all surface preparation, cleaning and shuttering is complete. FAP Nano-Grout ES is supplied in pre weighed units and do not splits units during mixing. Add Part B to Part A in a suitable forced action mixer; alternatively use a slow speed drill and paddle. Mix for two minutes scraping down the sides before adding Part C component. Continue mixing until the grout has a smooth, even consistency.
Placing : Ensure that sufficient mixed material is available to complete the work and achieve a continuous filling operation. Commence placing immediately the grout is mixed. When used for under plate grouting, FAP Nano –Grout EP may be placed in thicknesses up to 80mm in a single pour. Place the grout so that it has the least distance to travel. Ensure there are areas for air to escape during pouring. Chains or metal strapslaid in the form work prior to placing may be necessary to assist grout flow over large areas. Pour the grout continuously from one side of the void to eliminate air. Maintain a constant head of mixed grout so that a continuous grout front is achieved. For pours that are greater than 80mm allow the first pour to cure overnight before starting to place the second lift.
FAP Nano-Grout ES pre-weighed units of 30kg and it has a minimum shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored under cover, out of direct sunlight.
